Liz Kessler is a writer and activist with non-verbal learning disorder and multiple chronic illnesses.
She is also an amateur musician, a gardener, and professional fundraiser. She studied political science and women’s studies at the University of Ottawa where she served as Vice President, University Affairs at the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa and she worked as an organizer for the Student Christian Movement of Canada. Her work has been published on Everyday Feminism and on rabble.ca.
Liz has worked on campaigns around mental health, disability, climate justice and student poverty. She has more than 12 years experience advocating for accommodations for disability in education and in the workplace, and has consulted on accessibility and neurodivergence for more than two years.
